Joonas Rikkonen ec7e23061b (38b5d9aad) Experimental changes to syncing ragdolled (unconscious/dead) characters: - Higher error tolerance when syncing the positions. It's often hard to get the main limb exactly to the same position as the collider, because the positions of the limbs aren't synced and the pose of the ragdoll may differ between the server and clients. Increasing the tolerance makes it less likely for dead/unconscious characters to "twitch" when the game attempts to force the main limb to the position of the collider. - If the position of the ragdoll differs from the position of the collider so much that CheckDistFromCollider disables limb collisions, apply an additional force to all limbs to force the ragdoll to the correct position. Otherwise the ragdoll can occasionally start "hanging" midair, clipping through solid objects, because the main limb's pull joint doesn't necessarily have enough force to pull the entire ragdoll up to the collider. 2019-04-01 22:47:03 +03:00

Joonas Rikkonen 817a6100d7 (f4680f78f) Made AI characters less eager to load extra fuel to the reactor (the load needs to be 2x higher than the theoretical max output of the reactor). In some subs the reactor's max output is so low that extra fuel is frequently needed, causing AI characters to constantly put in and take out rods as the load fluctuates. + The AI characters now put the excess rods in their inventory instead of dropping them. 2019-03-29 17:22:36 +02:00
Joonas Rikkonen db1d0acac9 (4d569f38c) AI characters can take out excess fuel rods from the reactor, and calculate if more fuel is needed to keep the output at a suitable level instead of only adding more fuel when the reactor is completely empty. 2019-03-29 17:21:52 +02:00

    Some changes to the reactor logic:
    The colored areas on the fission rate gauge now follow the amount of available fuel (previously they were static and didn't really have an effect on anything), and trying to push the fission rate above the upper limit makes the pointer "jitter" to make it more obvious that the fission rate can't be pushed any further.

    Fixed automatic temperature control setting turbine output above 100 if the power consumption is higher than what the reactor can generate. Caused "failed to write an event for the entity" errors in MP when the server tried to write the targetTurbineOutput using WriteRangedSingle with a maximum value of 100. Closes #1085

    Attempt to fix "attempted to move pull joint extremely far" errors (#895). I think they were (at least for the most part) caused by characters switching to simple physics mode and then moving a significant distance, and when the character switched back to normal animation, the pull joints were still somewhere far away and lerping them to the position of the collider failed (because the lerped position triggers the error).

Joonas Rikkonen 5f2227489b Reactor temperature has to stay above the meltdown temperature for 30 seconds before it explodes. The reactors now also have an output connection that sends out a signal when the temperature is critical. + Added reactor meltdown warning sirens & lights to vanilla subs. Joonas Rikkonen b84c965be3 More AI fixes/improvements:
- AI characters can refuel the reactor when needed.
- AIObjectiveContainItem.CanBeCompleted returns true if the target item cannot be obtained or if the container cannot be reached.
- AI characters only weld leaks that are part of some submarine (i.e. not ruins).

Joonas Rikkonen 8e556f1c76 - Renamed a bunch of ObjectProperty-related stuff (ObjectProperty -> SerializableProperty, IPropertyObject -> ISerializableEntity, the "SerializableProperty" attribute -> Serialize).
- Rectangle serialization.
- Option to restrict numeric properties to a range of values.
- WIP generic ISerializableEntity editor.

Joonas Rikkonen a0d606ef5f Working on improving the serialization system and ObjectProperty/IPropertyObject (TODO: come up with better names). The plan is to:
- Add support for some of the most common types (vectors, colors, rects) so there's no need to parse the values in the setters of the serializable properties (see Holdable.HoldPos for example).
- Make a generic version of the item editing HUD that can be used on any IPropertyObject. Should make it easier to implement things like the character editor, editing structure properties, particle editor, etc.
- Improve the interface of the editing HUD. Instead of having to type in a string value into a textbox, there should be number input fields for numeric properties, sliders for properties that only accept a range of values, a color picker, etc. And tooltips.

- Instead of configuring a commonness value and difficulty for an event and creating new random events until the maximum difficulty of the selected level is reached, the number of events per level can be configured directly (and overridden for specific level types).
- Removed task logic. The initial idea was to display the unfinished tasks to the player somehow and to use them as objectives for the AI crew, but those were scrapped and the tasks only ended up controlling which type of music to play. TODO: implement some kind of logic to determine when to play repair/monster music clips.

juanjp600 4d225c65f2 Updated to MonoGame 3.6 + Directory refactor
- Barotrauma's projects are in the Barotrauma directory
- All libraries are in the Libraries directory
- MonoGame is now managed by NuGet, rather than referenced from the installed files (TODO: consider using PCL for easier cross-platform development?)
- NuGet libraries are not included in the repo, as getting the latest versions automatically should be preferred
- Removed Content/effects.mgfx as it didn't seem to be used anywhere
- Removed some references to Subsurface directory
- Renamed Launcher2 to Launcher
